What to file first if you only do three things

What to file first if you only do three things

File one ID, a will or a note if you have no will yet, and one Legacy Steward. LegaSafe stores what you already decided. It does not draft the documents.

Nobody has ever stood in a quiet house and said, "I wish we'd had a more organized system." They say, "Where is it?"

Welcome. Your vault is open, and you don't have to fill it today. You have to fill it with three things:

1. One ID or vital record. A license, passport, or birth certificate. Add one line saying where the original lives. A scan is a copy; the drawer, binder, or lawyer's office is what your family will actually open.
2. Your will, or a note about it. File the signed copy and name who holds the original. No will yet? File a note that says so. (LegaSafe stores what you've decided. It doesn't draft documents.)
3. One Legacy Steward. A plan without a person is just a folder. Name one. You can change it later.

Skip the giant inventory. Insurance, the house, and funeral wishes come next, in later emails. Three filed beats thirty "someday" items every time.

Do these three and your plan is officially started, which is more than most families ever get.

P.S. Reply and tell us which of the three felt hardest. Someone will answer.
