These Terms govern use of www.legasafevault.com and related services. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
This is not legal advice. These pages are a draft for the company. Have an Arkansas lawyer review them before you rely on them in a dispute.
1. Who we are — and who we are not
LegaSafe Vault lets you store copies of documents and name Legacy Stewards who may receive what you assign after a reviewed death notice and a waiting period you can cancel.
We are not:
- A law firm, lawyer, or legal document service
- A doctor, hospital, or HIPAA-covered clinic
- A bank, broker, or investment adviser
- A funeral home or cemetery
- Your executor, trustee, or fiduciary
- A substitute for original signed papers, a will, or a court
No attorney-client, doctor-patient, or fiduciary relationship is created by using the vault. Communications with support are covered by the Privacy Policy, not by legal privilege.
The Last Wishes PDF and any interview or checklist are information tools. They are not a will.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and able to form a contract. You must give a real email and, if you use texts, a phone you control. One person should own a vault; co-owners and Stewards are people you invite.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for:
- Your password and who you let sign in
- Whom you name as Legacy Steward and what they can see
- The emergency print card and anyone who holds that link
- Keeping Profile name and date of birth accurate (we use them on death notices)
Tell us if you think the account was taken over. Close the account if you want the login hidden.
4. Your content
You keep whatever rights you already have in files you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content only to operate the service for you (including release to Stewards you named).
You represent that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it is lawful. Do not upload malware, anyone else’s confidential files without permission, or content that is illegal.
You are responsible for whether the copies in the vault match the paper originals, whether a will is valid, and whether Stewards are the right people. We do not review documents for legal correctness.
5. Plans, money, and close
Plan limits (documents, Stewards, features such as Assisted walkthrough, heartbeat, Last Wishes PDF) are as shown on Pricing at the time you buy. We may change plans going forward; we will not silently take away a paid feature mid-cycle without notice.
Fees are charged by Stripe. Lifetime is a one-time purchase as described on Pricing; it is not a promise that the company lasts forever.
Close account: you type DELETE, we hide the login, and we cancel recurring Stripe on that vault. Files are hidden, not erased. A later signup with the same email does not automatically reopen the same vault. Operators may restore a hidden login for a limited time. Lifetime already paid is not refunded because you closed.
Handoff is not close and is not a Lifetime spouse transfer. Handoff starts a 7-day pending release. A Lifetime spouse transfer moves the Lifetime seat and vault access on the same vault. It is not a legal transfer of the estate.
6. Release protocol (read this)
- You name Stewards and choose which documents they get, and when.
- A Steward (Trusted or Executor, as the product allows) or anyone with the emergency print card link may file a death notice.
- We notify you. The vault goes to 7-day pending release. Files stay sealed.
- You may abort during the wait if you are alive.
- When the wait ends, assigned grants become active. Writes lock.
- We may look at name and date of birth on the notice versus Profile. A mismatch does not automatically stop the wait; operators may review and we may call.
- Practice Run (paid plans) does not open files.
You release us from claims that arise because we followed this protocol, an emergency print card filing, or permissions you set — except to the extent we fail to follow our own published steps through gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You agree not to file a death notice you know is false.
7. Acceptable use
No scraping, no breaking in, no sharing login to evade plan limits, no using the vault to hide crime. We may suspend an account that threatens the service or other families.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, that files cannot be lost, or that a Steward will act.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT LAW ALLOWS, RAZOR CREST LLC AND ITS OWNERS AND OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE VAULT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
Some states do not allow certain limits. In those states we limit liability to the fullest extent allowed.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Razor Crest LLC and its operators against claims that arise from your content, your Stewards, a notice you file, or your misuse of the service — except to the extent we caused the claim by failing to follow these Terms.
11. Electronic notices
You agree we may send notices to the email (and, if confirmed, the phone) on the account. Dates and times in product mail are shown in U.S. Central Time.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The new date will appear at the top. If a change is material we will try to email the address on file. Continued use after the date is acceptance.
13. Governing law
Arkansas law governs, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes that are not resolved by email with support is the state or federal courts sitting in Arkansas, unless a law that cannot be waived requires otherwise.
